Driving jobs and warehouse jobs across the UK
Register your licence, cards and tickets, and we offer work that fits: days, nights, tramping or weekends, temporary or permanent.
Work we recruit for
Thirteen roles, from Class 1 and Class 2 driving to forklift, warehouse and transport office work. Open a role to see what it needs.
How to register
- Fill in the registration form below, or call 0333 335 5948 and give the same details.
- Have your documents ready. We go through them with you.
- We check your licence, your cards and your right to work.
- We give you our terms and a key information document before we offer work. Then we offer work that fits your licence, your hours and your home town, and you say yes or no to each offer.
Documents to have ready
These are the documents we ask for. You may not need all of them. Drivers of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes do not need a Driver CPC, and a warehouse operative needs no driving licence.
- Photocard driving licence, and a DVLA check code when we ask for one
- Driver Qualification Card, if you drive vehicles over 3.5 tonnes
- Digital tachograph driver card, if you drive a vehicle fitted with a digital or smart tachograph
- Passport, share code or other proof of your right to work in the UK
- Forklift certificates, and your ADR card if you hold one
- Your National Insurance number and bank details, so we can pay you
- Your recent work history, with the names of referees
How work is offered
We offer work by phone or text, with the site, the start time, the shift length, the vehicle and the pay rate. You say yes or no to each offer. When you say yes, we confirm the details and the site rules in writing before the shift.
Offers follow what you told us at registration: your licence, your cards, the towns you can reach and the shifts you want. Tell us if any of it changes. The regulations require us to pay you for work you have done whether or not the client has paid us, and we do.
You do not pay to get work
Recruitment agencies cannot charge you a fee for finding or trying to find you work. Nalon does not charge for registration, for checks, for work offers or for placing you. Anyone who asks you to pay before you start work is breaking that rule.
The law lists a few exceptions, such as actors, models and professional sportspeople. They do not cover drivers, warehouse staff or office workers.

Questions from drivers and staff
- Do I need a Driver CPC card for Class 2 work?
Yes. Drivers of lorries over 3.5 tonnes need the Driver CPC, which is 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years. Drivers of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes do not.
- Can I work nights and weekends?
Where you want them, yes. Tell us your hours at registration. Nights and weekends come up across haulage, distribution and warehousing.
- I passed my test recently. Can I register?
Yes. Tell us what you hold and when you passed. In most cases a driver has to be 21 to drive a category C or C+E lorry, or 18 with the Driver CPC initial qualification, and some clients ask for a minimum of driving experience. We tell you before you are booked.
- What if my licence has points?
Tell us at registration. The DVLA check shows penalty points and disqualifications, so there is nothing to gain by leaving them out. Some clients set limits, and we tell you before we offer a shift.
- How am I paid?
Nalon pays you for the hours on your signed timesheet, whether or not the client has paid us. The National Living Wage is £12.71 an hour for workers aged 21 and over from April 2026, according to GOV.UK, and no booking pays below the legal minimum wage for your age. You are told the rate for each shift with the offer.
- What are my rights as an agency worker?
From the first day you have a worker’s employment rights, and the same rights as permanent colleagues to use shared facilities and services. After 12 weeks in the same job you qualify for the same rights as someone employed directly, including equal pay, automatic pension enrolment and paid annual leave, according to GOV.UK.
