Cleckheaton is a town in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, at the centre of the Spen Valley, and Nalon’s office is here. The M62 lies about a mile north of the town and is reached at junction 26, known as Chain Bar. At Chain Bar the motorway interchanges with the M606 spur into Bradford, the A58 and the A638. The M606 leaves the M62 at junction 26 and runs into Bradford, where it joins the A6177 Bradford Ring Road.

In Cleckheaton the A638 is Dewsbury Road and meets the A643 at crossroads, and the A638 ends at the Chain Bar roundabout, where it meets the M62, the M606 and Whitehall Road, the A58. The A62 starts as Gelderd Road in Leeds and runs through Birstall, Heckmondwike and Liversedge to Huddersfield. At Birkenshaw the A651 from Bradford to Heckmondwike crosses the A58 from Leeds to Halifax.
