HGV and warehouse staff in Hull

Hull is a port city on the Humber, at the end of the A63 and M62 and beside the A1033 to Saltend. We supply Class 1, Class 2 and van drivers, shunters and warehouse staff for port-side and Humber work.

Pin: Hull. Square: the Nalon office in Cleckheaton.

Hull is a port. Associated British Ports lists the docks and berths of the Port of Hull as Saltend Jetty No.1 and No.3, King George and Queen Elizabeth Docks, River Terminal 1, Alexandra Dock and its extension, Riverside Quay, and Albert and William Wright Docks. As well as containers, ferry travel and Ro-Ro, ABP says Hull handles forest products and a range of bulk commodities.

The road in is the A63. It continues east from the end of the M62 at junction 38 (North Cave) and runs into the city, where it is Clive Sullivan Way from Hessle and Castle Street beyond its junction with the A1079. ABP says the Port of Hull has dual carriageway road links to the M62 and to the M18 and M1.

East of the city the A1033 carries traffic to and from the Port of Hull and Saltend, and the dual carriageway between the A63 and the Salt End roundabout is a trunk road. Saltend Chemicals Park lies on the north bank of the Humber estuary just outside Hull’s eastern boundary. Hull is not in any of the charging Clean Air Zones that GOV.UK lists.

What we staff around Hull

Around Hull we staff Class 1 drivers and shunters for port and quayside work, Class 2 and van drivers for port-side distribution, ADR tanker drivers for bulk liquids, and forklift and reach truck drivers for the warehouse units. Shifts run days, nights, tramping and weekends, and a Hull-based driver can reach the M62, the M18 and the M1 from the A63.

Port work follows the vessels, so start times move. Tell us the site, the start time and the vehicle when you book. If you are a driver, tell us whether you will take nights and whether you hold an ADR card or have worked on a terminal.
